The Challenge
When Qatar hosted the FIFA World Cup in 2022, the infrastructure demands were unlike anything the country had undertaken before. Among the countless logistics behind the tournament was a project that visitors would experience directly but rarely think about: furnishing fifteen thousand rooms to accommodate journalists, delegates, sponsors, and fans arriving from every corner of the world.
These were not ordinary hotel rooms. They were spaces representing Qatar’s identity on a global stage, and every detail mattered. Fifteen thousand complete furniture sets — beds, nightstands, lounge seating, and bedding — had to be designed, manufactured, and delivered within two months. The furniture had to be durable enough for high-turnover hospitality use, visually refined enough to reflect the professionalism of the tournament, and consistent enough to create a coherent experience across all 15,000 rooms.
What We Did
We understood from the outset that this project was not merely a commercial contract. It was a responsibility. Qatar was presenting itself to the world, and the standard we were held to reflected that.
Our first contribution was comprehensive, free design services. We developed full spatial layouts for every room configuration and detailed structural designs for every piece of furniture, producing vivid 3D renderings that allowed the client to visualize every space before a single item was manufactured. The design language was contemporary, warm, and universally appealing — clean lines, refined finishes, and a welcoming atmosphere suited to an international audience.
We invited the client to conduct round-the-clock virtual factory inspections, with live, unedited footage of our workshops available at any hour. This was not just a courtesy — it was a demonstration of confidence. The client could observe every stage of production in real time, from material selection through final assembly.
The bidding and compliance process for a project of this magnitude was demanding. We took full responsibility for preparing and submitting all tender documentation — technical specifications, quality certifications, legal authorizations, and compliance reports — navigating the stringent requirements of Qatari authorities with precision. The client did not manage the paperwork. We did.
Throughout production, every piece was inspected against agreed specifications. Materials were tested for durability, finishes checked for consistency, and final assemblies verified for structural integrity. Our logistics teams coordinated every stage of the supply chain to ensure all items arrived on time and in perfect condition.
The Result
When guests began arriving in Qatar, the rooms performed exactly as designed. The furniture was comfortable, visually cohesive, and structurally sound under the demands of a global event. The project demonstrated at scale — under extreme time pressure and international scrutiny — that we could deliver without exception.
The visibility earned from participating in FIFA World Cup 2022 established us as a trusted partner for the world’s most demanding projects, opening doors to new opportunities across the Middle East and beyond.
